Brew State got off to a great start with a win versus the MN Swing Kings 2021. AJ Hamilton (2021, Sussex, WI) put together a solid showing for Brew State, going six innings, giving up four hits and two runs, and striking out seven opposing hitters. The 6-foot-4, 215 pound right-hander has a projectable frame and was sitting 79-82 mph. He has good shape to his 67-mph curveball, and it will continue to get better as he spins it harder. He challenged hitters up in the zone all night, with his go-to sequence being a high fastball and then a below-the-knees curveball that was very effective. He glides down the mound with minimal effort to his delivery. He is not yet ranked in the Perfect Game system, but there is a lot to like about his potential.
