FORT MYERS, Fla. -- After summer officially kicked off over Memorial Day Weekend, Perfect Game is set to host the Perfect Game BCS National Qualifier, the second event of the summer season in Fort Myers. JetBlue Park and surrounding Fort Myers area ballparks will be home to 47 teams from Florida, New Jersey, Maryland and Puerto Rico for the Qualifier, spanning from June 4-6.

The BCS National Qualifier will showcase three age groups this weekend, featuring 20 teams at the 13u level, 14 teams at the 14u level and 13 teams at the 18u level. Among the field, some of the nation’s top-ranked players will be showing off their skills in Fort Myers this weekend.

At the 18u level, the Tampa Skyhawks will look to start their summer season with a bang. The Skyhawks have yet to play in a Perfect Game event this summer. Still, their roster will feature a flurry of top-rated talent, including 2021 graduates Jaiden Duarte (Northwest Florida State College commit) and Matthew Johnson (ASA commit), who both rank as top-500 players in their class. The Skyhawks will also add some younger talent to their roster for the weekend, pulling up 2022 graduates Christian Del Campo and Sam Cole, who rank as top-1000 in their class, and Maurice Days Jr, the 178th-ranked player in the 2024 class.

The Siege 18u Scout Team will also be a force to be reckoned with at the 18u level. They feature 2021 graduates Bryant Colon (Seminole State College commit) and Thomas Digiorgio (Catholic University commit) on their roster.

The 14u level boasts the 12th-ranked team in the nation, the Gulf Coast Monarchs 14u. Their BCS National Qualifier roster features three top-150 ranked players in the class of 2025; Braden Rosenthal, Jackson Geiger, and Cal Johnson. 2024 pitcher Johnny King will also join the Monarchs, who ranks just outside the top-150 in his class.

Other highly-touted players participating at the BCS National Qualifier’s 14u level this weekend are 5 Tool Titans 2025 graduate Osjun Rivas, who ranks 66th nationally and eighth in the state of Florida, and the Florida Bulldogs’ Gabriel Acevedo and RJ Machado, who both rank in the top-150 in the class of 2025.

At the 13u level, the TBT National White, the nation’s fifth-ranked team and the top team in the region for 13u, will look to continue their 2021 dominance, having earned a 26-5-1 record since the beginning of the year in Perfect Game events. Looking to stop them is the Gulf Coast Monarchs 13u, who rank 47th nationally and 11th in the region.

Each team will play three pool play games, with playoffs beginning at 8:00 AM on Sunday based on pool play performance, with championships taking place that afternoon. The championship for the 18u Qualifier will take place at the 5 Plex-Lee County Player Development Complex, while the title games for the 14u and 13u levels will take place at JetBlue Park.
