Matt Gonsalves (2022, San Ramon, Calif.) has had one of the more exciting summers for any 2022 player in California, significantly improving his profile and continued to show why with another strong day over two games. On base four times with two singles, Gonsalves has the bat speed and strength to drive balls all over the field as seen in game one where he sent the center fielder to the deepest part of the park. The defense and arm are the carrying tools for Gonsalves where he consistently is working with his pitcher, doing everything asked of a catcher. Currently uncommitted, coaches are going to want to put eyes on him quickly.
