15u WWBA Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2

Getting the start over at North Atlanta HS was big right-hander Gavin Meyer (2025, Lansing, Ill.), who showed off some impressive stuff for a prospect who’s still just 14 years old. At 6-foot-4, 175 pounds there’s a ton of length to the build and a ton of room to retain strength onto the build at physical maturity. He’s got an over-the-head hand pump with a relatively compact delivery as he controls his levers well to work down the mound. The fastball peaked at 80 mph, living in the upper-80s for the majority of his four shutout innings on the bump. The arm stroke is short and relatively quick for a bigger prospect with some life on the fastball out of the hand. The curveball has downer shape in the mid-60s with good shape already. He’s a classic projection arm who looks like he’ll be making a jump sooner rather than later and he pitched really well on Sunday morning.

Two power arms toed the rubber during the 1015 slots over at The Chop in the Banditos’ Tristan Bristow (2024, Helotes, Texas) and the Florida Dodgers’ Schuyler Sandford (2024, St. Augustine, Fla.).
