Houston Baptist commit Keevyn Goss (2023, Corpus Christi, Texas) is currently the No. 8 LHP in the state and showcased his next-level stuff in a dominant start. Excellent command and refined low-stress arm action worked his fastball up to 88. The fastball did the majority of the work to punch out an impressive 13 hitters through his efficient five frames on the mound. The delivery is controlled downhill with an aggressive release exploding out the hand, becoming an issue in every at-bat against him. Hides the ball well with a compact arm action and life on the pitch working downhill. Flashed the slider and changeup with great feel for the secondary offerings, both pitches checking off plenty of potential to be effective at high levels to complement the fastball development as the 6-foot-2, 190-pound build gets stronger and transfers to the mound. Goss was an exciting player to watch miss a lot of barrels on the mound. Plenty of room for his stuff to progress, leaving a lot to like about what is still to come heading into his final high school season.
