Damian Montanez (2025, Killeen, Texas) won MVP honors for Marucci Elite Texas Dunn in the 17u region as he lived on the barrel seemingly each look. The UTSA commit set the tone atop the order each time out and went deep in the championship game. It’s a short swing with some real quick hands and a sound two-strike approach, showing the ability to stay behind the ball and drive it deep to both gaps. He’s a versatile athlete who can fill a multitude of roles and get it done at the plate. He has the makings of an impact addition to campus come next year.
