Zack Scruggs is a 2025 SS/2B with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Asheboro, NC who attends Southwestern Randolph. Compact build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread and open stance with a comfortable hand raise load and barrel tilt trigger, has strong hands and creates bat speed while staying short to the ball, lived on the barrel all weekend with hard pull side contact, showed some juice to the pull side as well. 7.67 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, profiles best at third base moving forward, has a quick transfer and release on his throws and has some arm strength, makes accurate throws, step by step footwork and plays under control. Bat is his tool. Excellent student. Named to the Sunshine Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
