Carter Delaplante is a 2026 SS/RHP with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Hamilton, ON. Slender young build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger. Right handed hitter, has a nice lower half shift into contact and creates some young bat speed, has loose hands and creates some barrel whip, up the middle line drive approach, nice base swing to grow into as he gets stronger. 7.83 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, moves well side to side and best to the glove side, still developing his glove actions and glove position, arm works well and is projectable. Took a turn on the mound and had a very quick inning of work, threw in the 72-74 mph range with his fastball from a high 3/4's arm slot that created downhill angle, lived in the strike zone.
