Perez is a 5-10 junior outfielder from Miami with some present strength. He ran the 60 in 7.42 and threw 78 mph with good carry from the outfield during drills. Perez has a balanced and mature approach at the plate. He showed some pull power during batting practice but hit to all fields off live pitching. Perez has a very nice and level swing with a good rock back load and good rhythm through the ball. He should be able to continue to develop his hitting skills. Perez also threw a couple of innings, showing a 73-75 mph fastball and a developing 65-66 mph curveball. He is a solid student off the field.
