Addison Russell is a 2012 SS with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Pace, FL who attends Pace HS. Squared shouldered athletic build, very good present strength. Right handed hitter, spread stance, superior raw bat speed, lightning quick hands, ball jumps very hard on contact, line drive swing plane but the strength to drive it out of the park, tends to take hitter's pitches and swing at pitcher's pitches, patient overall approach. Good overall infield actions, strong arm, quick transfers, tends to be rushed at shortstop, looked very much at home at second base, good 2B double play turn. Didn't run 60 but a 6.75 type runner in the past. Good student, verbal commitment to Auburn. Named to the Perfect Game All-American Classic team.
