Matt Durst is a 2011 C/RHP with a 5-11 215 lb. frame from Whitehouse, TX who attends Whitehouse HS. Thick extra strong build, looks like a catcher. Quick hands and feet receiving, compact release, accurate throws, 1.93 best pop, developing blocking skills. Right handed hitter, wide stance, big loading action, tends to be long to the ball, shows raw strength on contact. Also pitched, good arm speed, compact arm circle, good balance and mechanics, mid 80's fastball to 86 mph, big CB shape with 11/5 shape, has pitching skills. Prospect development will depend on shortening swing. Good student.
