Ryan Madewell is a 2013 1B/RHP with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Somerville, AL who attends Priceville HS. Medium athletic build, good present strength. Right handed hitter, leg raise trigger, aggressive swing with some bat speed, good hand strength at contact, has some gap power, looking to lift the ball, could extend better, stiff hands out front, has the tools to keep improving as a hitter. 7.46 runner, some agility around first base, good footwork, stays balanced. Also pitched, long extended arm action, over the top release, limited front side use. Fastball topped at 78 mph, big slow downer curveball best pitch, has confidence in it and throws for strikes. Excellent student.
