Steven Plaskett is a 2015 RHP/1B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Palm Harbor, FL who attends East Lake HS. Strong athletic build, pretty mature physically. Long extended arm action with good arm speed coming through, stays tall on his backside and works downhill well with good extension out front, high 3/4's arm slot. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, mostly straight but spotted well to both sides of the plate, keeps fastball down in the zone. Change up best off speed pitch, gets good fading action and throws consistently for strikes. 12/6 downer curveball shape with a good feel for locating it. Has three good pitches and mixes them effectively with feel and maturity. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Air Force.
