Garrett Wolforth is a 2016 C/SS with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Concordia Lutheran HS. Tall angular build with good present strength and room to get stronger. Stands out defensively for his elite level arm strength, top of the pro grading scale velocity and carry, gets rid of the ball quickly and with polish, arm strength almost obscures his better/more frequently used defensive skills of leadership, maturity and receiving ability. Highest level defensive player. Switch hitter at the plate, better bat speed right handed, has some ability to pull and drive the ball, less sure of himself left handed and not as well timed, developing offensively will be key to his game. Comes from a deep baseball background and has a very advanced understanding for the game at his age. Recently reclassified into the 2015 class and will be 17 years old on his draft day. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Dallas Baptist.
