Alex Rodriguez is a 2016 2B with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Mater Academy Charter HS. Rodriguez has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he has solid infield actions with some foot quickness. He moves to the baseball well and showed the ability to throw on the run. Rodriguez showed some arm strength up to 78 MPH with some carry. At the plate, he has an aggressive swing and made gap to gap contact in BP. Rodriguez has some bat speed and some looseness to his swing. He gets some extension and has some wiry strength in his swing. Rodriguez has some pop to the pull side and showed the ability to go with the pitch. Good student.
