Wesley Reyes is a 2016 SS/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Bayamon, PR who attends Colegio Santa Rosa. Medium athletic build with solid strength, projects to add strength as well. Hits from upright stance with leg lift trigger, very smooth swing throughout hitting mechanics, quick hands to the zone, shows strength off the barrel with developing power. Aggressive base runner with good speed on the base paths. Waits back well on balls in the infield, fields cleanly and shows off excellent arm strength across the diamond, topping at 88 MPH. Projects slightly better in the outfield, shows looseness and fluidity throughout actions, gets to ball well and fields cleanly through, shows off excellent arm strength on accurate throws to 3B and home, topping at 91 MPH. Ran a 6.96 60 yard dash. Named to 2015 Sunshine East Showcase Top Prospect list. Very good student.
