Drew Brooks is a 2014 SS/RHP with a 5-9 168 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Reagan HS. Smaller build with some tightly wound strength. Left handed hitter, aggressive swing approach, hits with confidence, starts hands tight and is short to the ball but long through the zone, nice loose extension out front, creates bat speed, can turn on inside half but handled outside half well to, advanced hitting approach. 7.08 runner, 4.19 home to first. Solid infield arm strength, accurate throws with carry, shows lateral range, athletic body control, can soften hands a bit, especially on backhand. Also pitched, long arm action, leans way back, over the top release, low 80's fastball, wrapped soft curveball. Really like the offensive approach and can play middle infield at the college level.
