Alexis Herrera is a 2014 RHP/3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Hialeah Senior. Medium, strong build, has a thick lower half, good present strength there. Pitches from an over the top arm slot, short arm action, high hand break, falls to the first base side in finish, mechanics can be tightened up a little. Pitches at 78-80 mph with his fastball, stays around the zone and pitches aggressively, low effort velocity. Curveball flashes 11-5 rotation at 73 mph, only used sparingly. Also mixes in a changeup, shows good fade down and away.
