EJ Alvarez is a 2019 OF/ with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Live Oak, FL who attends Suwannee HS. Small framed athlete with plenty of room to grow and mature physically that brings energy to the field. In the outfield showed a good first step to the ball, aggressive approach, and gets inline with the bag. Has a solid glove with a fluid transfer, developing arm strength, and threw accurately to the bag. At the plate he has a square stance with the feet slightly wider than shoulder width. Has simple mechanics at the plate; gather to the rear leg, strides forward landing early, gets to strong launch position. Shows strength and quickness in the lower half, creates bat speed, lifts with upper body at contact.
