Brenden Bube is a 2017 RHP/MIF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Corydon, IN who attends Lanesville Jr-Sr HS. Medium frame with an athletic build. Mixed tempo, high energy delivery. Strides out well with a tendency to land open at times. Fastball tends to run arm side when front side opens up. Fastball shows 4-seam action topping at 83 mph. Aggressive with fastball in the strike zone and likes to work quickly. Curveball has some spin and shape when delivery has a nice even tempo. Changeup shows some fading actions with sink and a deceptive arm speed to hitters. Flashed a knuckleball at 67 mph. Showed good command of the knuckleball without tipping the pitch to hitters. Good arm speed on all pitches. Tends to rush through delivery at times, best command and movement came from and nicely paced offering. Right handed hitter with a straight stance and lower hand set slightly below shoulders. Simple stride with a tendency to let weight drift to third base side. Hands load to a coiled position to generate torque. Rotational lower half mechanics. Showed a mid-field approach in BP with a compact hand path and line drive swing plane. Hitting tools should continue to develop with additional fluidity.
