Alex Kachler is a 2016 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Lithia, FL who attends Strawberry Crest HS. Large, lean frame with longer limbs and projection remaining. Showed well on the mound, using leg lift delivery with slight pause that is deceptive. Features long, extended arm action to get to a high 3/4 arm slot. Arm works through well and generates downhill plane. Fastball up to 82 mph, showed developing command of the pitch, able to keep it down in strike zone where it plays well. Also has some feel for a 12/6 curveball in upper-60's with developing shape and spin. In the infield shows off very good arm across the diamond. Soft hands and solid footwork, can shorten up transfer and release a bit. Right handed hitter, tall stance, upper body swing. Uses entire field and sprays ball, could use lower half more consistently. Very good student.
