Emilio Valdez is a 2015 OF/IF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Coral Springs, FL who attends Coral Springs Charter. Medium, highly athletic, lean build with room to fill out. Shows plus speed. Ran a 6.74 60 yard dash. Bats right-handed, carries his hands high and keeps his knees bent. Shows a sound approach and good balance at the plate. Looks to hit line drives. Takes good routes to the ball in the outfield and makes accurate throws. Covers a lot of ground. Gets the most out of his present arm strength. Good student.
