60 time: 6.87 – In terms of raw tools and explosiveness, Hanson rates very well with the top prospects in the nation. He is a power-packed, compactly-built athlete with a big arm and pop in his bat. It does not look like he has the footwork or instincts to stay in the middle infield but there is no doubt his arm plays on the left side and would also play in right field. He also runs well. The question is where he will settle in defensively. His bat is good and he does have power, but it may not be enough for the corner positions. For that reason, he likely will be given a shot to stay up the middle and develop his skills.
