Justin McCranie is a 2017 RHP/3B/1B with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Alachua, FL who attends F. W. Buchholz HS. Tall, strongly built right-hander, still young, and looks the part on the mound. Pitches from a high three-quarter arm slot and reaches 77 mph with his fastball. Stays downhill and uses his height. Has a consistent follow through and throws strikes. Also mixes an 11-5 curveball at 66 mph, shows solid depth. Changeups runs to his arm side at 72 mph. Fastball cuts at times. Also swung the bat, gets long at times, but strong hitter with potential to hit for power. Works from a squared stance and keeps it simple. Usable arm strength on the infield. Actions needs refining. Good student.
