Alex Miller is a 2015 RHP/1B with a 6-1 172 lb. frame from Belle Mead, NJ who attends Montgomery. Large frame, medium athletic build with room to fill. Pitches from a three quarter arm slot with a short arm action. Quick arm, compact mechanics, pitches downhill. Good mix of pitches, shows some pitchability already. Good arm speed on curveball, 11-5 shape with sharp break, good feel for pitch. Arm side fade and sink on changeup, interesting young pitching prospect. Showed strong hands and solid bat speed at the plate, potential power with increased strength and refined swing mechanics. Good footwork defensively at 1B, arm works, good actions defensively. Good student.
