Aljo Sujak is a 2017 LHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Tenafly, NJ who attends Tenafly High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long, lean limbs with room to fill out with additional strength, projects well moving forward. Primary lefthanded pitcher, measured pace to delivery working to a short and compact arm action through the back, hides the ball well and gets to a three-quarters release point. Short, on line stride and works over front side, very good arm speed and works down with fastball, topped out at 85 mph with running life. Held velocity well and located to either side while showing a strong feel for a three-pitch mix. Maintains arm speed well on curveball, short 1-7 shape with depth to both sides of the plate with a consistent feel, changeup with a quality offering at present at 76 mph, nice feel with late fade down in the zone from same arm slot. Projects for more velocity and already shows an advanced feel for three pitches. Named to Northeast Indoor Top Prospect List. Very good student.
