Jeff Shanfeldt is a 2015 C with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Garnet Valley, PA who attends Garnet Valley. Medium, athletic frame with a strong, mature build and physical frame. Ran a 7.39 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, short and compact arm action from ear, gains ground with lower half, quick release, strong arm down to second base, sound receiver, accurate throws. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set and an upright stance. Short path to the ball, quick hands, generates leverage in swing, ball jumps when squared and shows strength to all fields. Busy load, patient approach with nice feel for the barrel. Named to Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List. Very good student.
