Avery George is a 2017 SS/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Humble, TX who attends Humble HS. George has a medium sized frame with a long lean build. He's a good runner with 6.84 speed in the sixty and a quick first step. George has a solid approach to the baseball and gets down well to field the baseball. He has good hands and clean transfers. George throws from an upright release and has a shorter stride when throwing. He showed some arm strength up to 81 MPH across the diamond and 83 MPH from the outfield. There's more arm strength in there with an improved lower half. At the plate George starts with a slightly open stance and uses a toe touch trigger to start his swing. He has limited weight shift in his swing and he has a rotational swing. George has some bat speed and made solid middle of the field contact during his BP round. He showed some hitting tools that project. Excellent student.
