Zachary Savage is a 2016 RHP/1B with a 6-7 245 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends Greater Atlanta Christian HS. Extra large build, imposing figure on the mound. Multi-part delivery adds to his size for deception, gets hunched over at his balance point and loses some leverage, long and loose arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, tall at release. Upper 70's fastball, topped out at 80 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running action. Lowers release point for his slider and gets on the side of it with good spin and some sweeping depth, shows good bite when he gets it down in the zone. Good feel for his change up with proper arm speed and some arm side run. Right handed hitter, has an inside swing path with limited extension, works the middle of the field, has the strength to open up his swing and pull the ball with authority with adjustments. Very good student.
