Nevan Watanabe is a 2017 SS/RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Wailuku, HI who attends Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus. Large frame, tall lean athletic build with room to fill, projectable strength gains. Big pull back hand load at the plate, good lower half use, extends arms with long uppercut swing plane, projects to develop at least doubles power and possibly more, ball carries well when squared already. Short arm action on throws in the infield, long strides, hands work well, interesting young tools to develop. Good student. Named to the Sunshine West Top Prospect Team.
