Jacob Nelson is a 2014 RHP/2B with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Jefferson, WI who attends Jefferson HS. Medium, thin, wiry frame with a lot of room to fill out. Ran a 7.69 60 yard dash. Throws from a high three-quarter arm slot and has a clean, repeatable arm action. Reaches 82 mph with his fastball, has a tendency to miss up in the zone. Shows occasional fastball sink and mostly spots well. Also mixes an 11-5 curveball with good depth. Also played the infield, shows athletic infield actions and solid arm strength. Bats from both sides, shows an ability to hit to the opposite field and has a solid approach from each side. Makes consistent middle of the field contact.
