Ryan Lawhon is a 2015 OF with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Jersey Village HS. Large, athletic build with a lean, projectable frame, long limbs, and room to fill out with additional strength. Strong runner, posted a 6.91 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, rounds the ball well with nice footwork through the ball, sound athletic actions, gets on top of throws with lots of carry and strength, ball comes out of hand cleanly. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance and uses a leg lift trigger to start. Slightly open stance, shifts into contact, swing shows length but gets the barrel to the ball, upper body swing, strong feel to hit up the middle and shows strength to pull side. Named to South Uncommitted Top Prospect List. Good student.
