Luke Price is a 2017 1B/RHP with a 6-5 205 lb. frame from Louisville, KY who attends Christian Academy of Louisville. Large frame with long limbs and lean, athletic build. Frame projects for additional strength. Ran a 7.39 sixty yard dash. Primary first baseman with smooth paced, fundamental footwork while surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling with developing fluidity. Ball comes out of hand cleanly topping at 77 mph. Throw had accurate, on line carry to both third and second base. Left handed hitter with a upright, slightly open stance. Shows hand waggle while setting up and loading. Creates a linear hand plane to contact producing solid bat speed through extension. Flashed strength at contact with good jump to the pull side gap. Consistently turned the barrel to contact with a mid-field to pull side approach. Outstanding student as well.
