Justin Lavey is a 2016 3B/SS with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Kenosha, WI who attends Tremper HS. Solid athletic build, good present strength. Right handed hitter, loose swing with good hand usage, keeps swing short and direct, looks to hit the ball deep, simple line drive approach, has the bat speed and strength to drive the ball, has feel for the barrel and will hit for high average, can shift better for more lift and extension in the future, nice overall hitting tools. Runs very well for his size, 6.75 in the sixty, very good infield arm strength from a 3/4's slot, accurate throws, charges the ball athletically, can improve consistency with exchange/transfer. Very nice all around athlete. Good student, verbal commitment to Louisville.
