Kenneth Cruz is a 2016 OF/ with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Rochester, NY who attends School Of The Arts. Large frame, atheltic build with long limbs and present strength. Right handed hitter with and upright, straight stance and leg kick trigger. Linear lower half mechanics with a big shift into contact. Lower half strides to a very spread position. Shows an extended swing path while trying to create seperation to drive the baseball into the gaps. Baseball jumps of barrel with loud contact when squared and on time with lower half trigger. Shows raw power that will play at the next level with some mechanical refinement. Worked out defensively from the outfield showing a loose, smooth arm action that produces plus carry and accuracy to the bag, topped at 88 mph. Athletic actions while closing to baseball with clean glove to hand exchanges through transition. Excellent range in the outfield, made a diving play in left field foul territory while covering a lot of ground. Good student as well. Committed to Rutgers.
