Justin Hanley is a 2018 3B/1B/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Venice, FL who attends Venice HS. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build; good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.68 seconds. Sets up to hit from wide-based stance with high hands, active hands into load with big leg lift trigger, gets on line drive swing plane, generates some backspin off the barrel. Whole-field approach, did a good job working back up the middle and to the opposite field as well. Worked out defensively in a pair of spots. Good footwork in the infield with balance, fields cleanly out front with a two-hand funnel, surrounds the ball, makes clean throws across the diamond clocked up to 76 MPH. Also did well in the OF, lines up the ball well and comes in on it, fields cleanly and maintains momentum through, showed arm strength clocked up to 74 MPH. Excellent student.
