Paul Bonzagni is a 2020 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Grapevine, TX who attends Carroll HS. Long and lanky young build, lots of room to get stronger, looks taller than listed. 7.71 runner, has fluid actions at shortstop with good balance and soft hands, works well from side to side and has good fundamental footwork, loose arm and makes accurate throws with projectiable arm strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall open stance with a hitchy hand load, hand intensive swing, has hand quickness and can create some bat speed when he's on time, pull line drive contact, will keep improving offensively as he gets stronger. Also pitched, has a smooth athletic delivery with an extended 3/4's release. Topped out at 81 mph and threw lots of strikes with good sinking and running life, mixed in a rare hard slider that showed promise. Good student.
