Anthony Palma is a 2018 SS/2B with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Mooresville, NC who attends Lake Norman. Medium frame with lean, athletic present build and good projection remaining on body. Posted a 7.56 seconds 60 yard dash time. Hits with barrel very flat at start, hands way back deep, handsy swing with minimal lower body weight shift into contact, has barrel control with good hand-eye coordination, line drive swing plane, slaps line drives to all fields with contact-oriented approach and overall mechanics. Worked out defensively in the infield. Showed good first step with quick step range to both sides, quality footwork to and through fielding the baseball, fields cleanly and shows good balance throughout actions into crow hop. Quick release with consistent accuracy across the diamond, IF velocity topped at 73 MPH. Very good student.
