Hagen Barcello is a 2019 3B/RHP/2B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Klein Forest HS. Athletic build with good present strength and room for more. Bat is his best tool, has a simple well timed load and trigger with a short and strong line drive swing, middle of the field approach, can get his upper body lean over the plate and lose direction occasionally, high average approach that squares the ball up well. Shows good athleticism through the ball on defense, has good hands, long and low arm slot needs adjusting, second base defensive tools at present. Also pitched, side step/leg lift delivery, long arm stroke through a 3/4's slot, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, will occasionally drop to side arm at times for a different look, throws his fastball for strikes. Will mix in a soft curveball on occasion. Good student.
