Cristian Poche is a 2018 OF/1B/LHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Metairie, LA. Slender broad shouldered build, lots of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, tall narrow stance, starts open and stays open, calm and quiet pre-swing approach, gets to front side and gets the barrel out early, pull approach, aggressive hitter, has some hand quickness and can make hard line drive pull contact on his pitch. 7.47 runner, has athletic actions both in the outfield and at first base, stays balance well with a quick release on his throws, arm action is quick and clean. Also pitched, mid 3/4's arm slot, tends to lean back in his delivery causing some timing and directional issues, arm is pretty loose and quick. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, shows good feel for his curveball when his delivery is timed up. Good overall athlete who should continue to improve with adjustments and additional strength. Very good student.
