Tony Salato is a 2015 2B/C with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Knoxville, IA who attends Knoxville HS. Slender young build, room to get stronger. 7.18 runner, shows good actions both at second base and behind the plate, has a quick release and soft hands at both positions, good athletic quickness, works hard behind the plate and is a good blocker. Right handed hitter, short quick swing, uses his hands well, balanced and moves into contact, barrels the ball up and hits hard line drives, has hitting tools to develop with additional strength. Solid all around player.
