Jacob Henry is a 2016 RHP/3B, MIF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends John F Kennedy. Smaller, athletic frame with present strength. On the most shows a 3/4 slot and creates good are whip. Gets downhill well while creating some sinking aciton with fastball. Around the zone often with fastball and showed to ability to move in and out ranging from 77-81 mph, topped at 82 mph. Slider has 10/4 shape with depth. Has a good feel for the offspeed offering with ability to throw for strikes in both negative or positive counts, topped at 74 mph. At the plate has a quiet load in the top half while producing lower half coil. Hands launch with a compact, tight path through the zone. Primarily looks to use pullside in BP and game situations. Shows smooth transitons from glove to hand in the infield with a tendecy to throw from a tall position and overtop arm action. Has later glove actions and deeper funnel when surrounding the baseball. Topped at 81 mph across the infield. Good student as well.
