2015 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase
Brandon Andrews is a 2017 OF/ with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Mebane, NC who attends Cedar Ridge. Large frame with solid, athletic present build; good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.12 seconds. Hits with double toe tap trigger, shifts weight into contact well, double tap can cause mistime, leveraged swing with clean hands and good bat speed. Showed good jump off the barrel with line drive contact, used whole field well. Shows solid movement to the ball in the OF, fields cleanly and works through it, excellent arm strength with online, accurate throws to target up to 89 MPH. Pitched as well, showing quick arm with medium effort, uses lower half well and repeats deliver with athleticism. FB worked 79-81 and touched 82; FB has good life to arm side and is heavy when down in zone. Good feel for CB with sharp, late break from 11/5 shape. Power depth and spin on CB. Named to 2015 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
