Elijah Degrate is a 2020 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-0 206 lb. frame from Waco, TX who attends Valley Mills. Big and strong build, especially in his upper half. Hands over head delivery with a high leg raise, uses his lower half well to help generate velocity, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running action. Slider was his best secondary pitch, maintains arm speed better and shows both depth and a tight bite. Slowed arm on his curveball and change up although he landed the curveball well with some 11/5 depth. Will pitch backwards and double up on his secondaries at times. Right handed hitter, has a long swing from a wrapped barrel start, looking to pull and lift the ball. Moved well for his size on defense and showed plenty of raw arm strength, best secondary position is third base. Good student.
