Angelo Baez is a 2016 SS/2B with a 5-6 155 lb. frame from Bronx, NY who attends Academy Of Mount St Michael. Shorter compact build, good present strength. Good quickness in the infield, moves well to the ball with a good first step, charges the ball well and has balance and soft hands, second base look but may have the tools for shortstop at the next level. Right handed hitter, comfortable and simple load, aggressive pull approach, swings hard and creates bat speed, will get under the ball at times but has good hands and path to the ball, line drive swing plane. Nice overall athleticism and can stay in the middle of the field. Good student.
