Devon Patel is a 2019 RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Klein Oak HS. Wiry medium build with plenty of room to get stronger. works from both the stretch and windup with no runners on base with a long and loose arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, throws a bit harder from the windup. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, mostly straight but well commanded. Curveball was a potential plus pitch, has tight spin and mature feel for the pitch,works it down in the zone consistently for strikes. Developing change up. Strike thrower with two solid pitches and the potential to get better. Excellent student.
