Nathan Florence is a 2016 RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Wilbraham, MA who attends Minnechaug Regional HS. Medium, athletic build with broad shoulders and long limbs, room to fill out and continue to get stronger. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, full arm circle through the back coming to an over the top release point. Steady tempo to balanced delivery, remains tall on back and finishes online towards the plate. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with short cutting action and late jump from the extension out front. Consisnelty on top of the pitch and lives down in the zone, velocity projects well moving forward. Mixed in curveball effectively, mid-70s with tight rotation and downward shape. Can work away from hitters and stay off barrels. Verbal commitment to Hartford. Named to Northeast Top Prospect List. Good student.
