Ross Norman is a 2023 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-5 180 lb. frame from Ringgold, GA who attends Ringgold. He ran a 7.87 second sixty. A primary first baseman with a tall lean build. At first he showed some comfort for the plays with the glove working well out front and funneling the ball in nicely, he is able to get around the ball and set his feet up for the double play feeds with a longer arm action and plenty of carry. On the infield he showed well again with the ability to get around the ball and work through it more as he carried his momentum into his throws showing even better arm strength. On the mound he he starts with a small side step into a chest high leg lift with the hands following the leg and getting a clean head break at the bottom, his length allows him to create plane on his fastball from high three-quarters arm slot as he worked it to both halves of the plate, the curveball showed well with tight spin and late 11-5 shape. Right-handed hitter, swings the bat with plenty of intent as the barrel works on an uphill path through the hitting zone and projects well with more consistent timing to the swing. Very good student.
