Ishmael Martin is a 2018 C/RHP, OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Westlake HS. Recorded a 7.13 second 60-yard dash time. Lean and athletic build with broad shoulders and room to fill out with additional strength. Primary catcher with a wide set to start. Everything stays compact with a quick arm and shorter stroke. Stays low and would benefit from additional shifting forward. Impressive pop time recorded of 1.95 seconds. Secondary outfielder with good carry and arm strength recorded up to 86 mph. Accurate throws with deliberate overall actions and a big crow hop into throws. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a short rocker step and a high leg lift above the belt. Gathers well over the balance point and carries weight and momentum downhill. Online stride with the plate and a tight three-quarters release point. Pitches to contact and fills up the strike zone. Curveball with 10/5 shape and maintains arm speed on the pitch. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set and a high back elbow. Even stance with a direct path to contact and a full swing path. Linear plane with best contact up the middle on a line.
