Derek (DJ) Radtke is a 2021 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Blessed Trinity Catholic. Tall build with long arms and a high waist and the look of a workhorse frame. A primary pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch using a small hip turn and holding the coil to foot strike. Uses his base well and helps create easy velocity. Clean arm stroke and release, with a high 3/4 release and good life to the fastball. Spun a hard 11/5 shaped breaking ball that he landed often, the pitch would sometimes have more horizontal shape late in the count. Flashed a changeup from the same slot with fading action. Induced some bad swing and miss during the outing. Excellent student.
